Once in awhile, I am lucky enough to be asked to design a space in a NYC building that I adore. Huys is just such a building. Located in the heart of NoMad , on Park Ave South, Huys is a neoclassical building dating from 1917. This building underwent a huge conversion from commercial offices to 58 luxurious and elegantly detailed condominiums . It was designed by the world-renowned Piet Boon . This charming apartment is a pied a terre for a lovely couple that actually live upstate NY. I am very proud of how it turned out. I very much enjoyed designing the interiors, I hope you enjoy seeing the results!
UNIQUE SURFACES
The sky is the limit when it comes to creativity in design. Texture, color, abstract forms, and material finishes all become a work of art when mixed together to create gorgeous, one-of-a-kind pieces. A unique surface in an unexpected way has always caught my attention. Using your table top as a unique display of creativity and craftsmanship is a perfect opportunity for making a statement and stepping out of the box. Check out what I mean in these snapshots collected throughout my daily travels:
