"WHY I LOVE BEING AN INTERIOR DESIGNER: MY JOURNEY, PASSION, and CLIENT STORIES"

I feel incredibly blessed to wake up every day and do what I love for a living. Being an interior designer combines my lifelong passion for art and design with the opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives.

My journey into the world of design began early. I attended the High School of Art and Design in Manhattan, where my creative passions were nurtured. When it was time for college, I dove into a Fashion Design program and started working in the industry right after graduation. I loved every moment of it.

However, after my children were born, I felt a shift. I wanted a career that offered more flexibility to balance family life while still allowing me to channel my creativity. That’s when I decided to pursue interior design at The New York School of Interior Design. It was one of the best decisions of my life.

I worked hard to climb the ladder in the interior design industry, learning from one of the most talented designers I’ve ever met. In 1998, I took the leap and started my own business. Success didn’t come overnight—it grew steadily, year by year. Along the way, I was fortunate to meet incredible clients who became much more than that.

Over the years, I’ve shared in some of my clients' most meaningful life moments. I’ve designed nurseries for their first children and, years later, celebrated with them as those children got married. I’ve helped transform houses into homes, creating spaces that reflect their personalities, needs, and dreams.

When I say my work is my life, I truly mean it. I deeply care for the amazing, loyal clients who have welcomed me into their lives and trusted me with their homes.

The greatest joy of being an interior designer comes from the heartfelt feedback I receive. Whether it’s, “Our whole family saw the transformation and couldn’t believe it!” or “We’ve never had plants before, but the ficus has brought so much life to our home,” or “Our lives have changed completely now that we’re enjoying our new kitchen, bedroom, or living room!”—these moments are what fuel my passion. Knowing my ideas have made someone’s life better, easier, or more beautiful is the ultimate reward.

As we move into the New Year, I want to express my deepest gratitude. Thank you for inviting me into your homes and sharing your lives. It is an honor and a privilege to do what I love and create spaces that bring joy and comfort.

I wish everyone peace, health, and happiness in the year ahead. Here’s to another year of designing spaces that inspire and transform!
